ACT Government Incentives for EVs

The ACT offers some of the most generous EV incentives in Australia:

• Motor vehicle duty: the ACT zero-emission vehicle exemption ended on 1 September 2025. Check the current emissions-based duty for the vehicle you are considering.
• Reduced registration fees for electric vehicles
• Sustainable Household Scheme: eligible households may access low-interest loans, subject to current eligibility and loan terms. Check the scheme before budgeting.
• Parking: do not assume parking is free because a vehicle is electric. Follow the signs and conditions at the actual location.
